11-27-2007 D.U.I.
Sherri M. Hixson, 48, Reinholds, faces possible DUI charges after an incident in the 300 block of Main Street, Denver, at 3:00PM November 27. Hixson had entered a store with a young child and displayed signs of intoxication. After a call from an employee, police responded and found Hixson in her vehicle with several occupants. She failed sobriety tests and was taken to ECH for a blood test. She will be summoned to appear before MDJ Hamill. [DB]
11-28-2007 Crash
Monica Starr, 38, Denver, was taken to Reading Hospital for treatment after a two-car crash at the intersection of Indiantown and Schoeneck Roads in West Cocalico Twp. at 8:41PM November 28. Starr had entered Schoeneck Rd. from Indiantown Rd. into the path of a vehicle operated by Randall Carpenter, 41, Denver. Starr was trapped in her vehicle by Denver Rescue. Carpenter was not injured. Reamstown Ambulance, Medic 4 and Schoeneck Fire Company also responded. [WC]
11-28-2007 Theft
A gazing ball, valued at $80.00, was reported stolen from the property at 514 North 6th Street, Denver, sometime between November 28 & 29. [DB]
11-29-2007 Hit & Run
Marvin Horn, Plains GA., was cited with a hit & run violation after the tractor-trailer that he was driving sheered off a utility pole in the 600 block of Reinholds Road at 7:15PM November 29. Horn had left the scene, but a witness called 911 and a near-by officer located the truck. [EC]
11-30-2007 Crash
A four car chain reaction crash occurred in the 700 block of North 6th Street at 2:57PM November 30. One driver, Andrew Luongo, 16, Reinholds, was taken to ECH for treatment. [DB]
12-02-2007 D.U.I./Underage Drinking
Hannah L. West, 20, Ephrata, faces DUI and underage drinking charges after she was stopped for driving in an unsafe manner in the first block of Main Street, Denver, at 1:43AM December 2. A blood test indicated she had a BAC of .10. [DB]
12-02-2007 Theft
A bicycle valued at $150 was reported stolen from 331 Railroad Ave., Denver, on December 2. [DB]
