11-05-2007 Public Drunkenness
Police cited Matthew Judge, 23, Denver, with Public Drunkenness on November 5, after he was found passed out and intoxicated to the rear of 820 North Reading Road. [EC]
11-03-2007 Burglary
A home in the first block of Thistle Drive was entered between November 3 and November 6, and several long guns and collectable stamps were reported stolen. [EC]
11-02-2007 Theft
Ten aluminum casts valued at approximately $8000 were reported stolen from the Boose Aluminum Foundry, Reamstown, between November 2 and November 5. [EC]
11-06-2007 Crash
Antonio Elia, 46, Stevens, was taken to ECH for treatment after a one-car crash near the intersection of North Reading Rd. and Pfautz Hill Rd. at 6:07PM November 6. Elia was cited for driving on an expired lisences. [EC]
11-07-2007 PFA Violation
Stanton Frey, 33, Ephrata, was arrested on November 7 at 5:36PM for violating a Protection from Abuse order at 833 Locust Street. He was arraigned before MDJ Hamill and committed to LCP in lieu of bail. [DB]
11-08-2007 DUI Crash
Teresa Barrett, 44, Ephrata, faces DUI and related charges stemming from a one car crash in the 900 block of Ridge Ave. at 2:30AM November 8. Barrett was northbound on Ridge Ave. when she struck a PP&L pole. She displayed signs of intoxication and a subsequent blood test at ECH indicated she had a BAC of .24%. [EC]
11-07-2007 Theft
The soda machines in front of the Denver Beer Distributor, 4 Main Street, were broken in to during the night of November 7/8. The amount of money stolen is not known at this time. [DB]
11-08-2007 D.U.I.
Michael Hall, 47, Ephrata, faces Dui charges after he was stopped for driving in an unsafe manner in the 1200 block of North Reading Rd. at 10:32PM November 8. Hall displayed signs of intoxication, and a blood test was taken at ECH. Charges are pending those results. [EC]
11-09-2007 Theft
Seven barrels of scrap metal were reported taken from Ephrata Precision Parts, 871 North Reading Rd. between November 3 and November 9. The scrap is valued at $700. [EC]
11-09-2007 D.U.I.
Brain L. Tobias, 44, Adamstown, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2800 block of North Reading Rd. in Adamstown at 10:45PM November 9. He displayed signs of intoxication, and a subsequent blood test indicated he had a BAC in excess of .20%. He will be summoned to appear before MDJ Hamill on the charges. [AB]
11-09-2007 Criminal Trespass
Charges are pending against Duane Lee Kraft, 44, Steinmetz Rd., after he was found intoxicated and passed out in the break room of Weave Corp., 142 Walnut Street, at 9:08PM November 9. Kraft had broken out a window to gain entry. [DB]
11-11-2007 D.U.I. Crash
Jeffrey A. Rhoads, 240 Main Street, Denver, faces Dui charges after a vehicle he was operating struck a parked pickup truck in the 300 block of Railroad Street, Denver, at 3:20PM November 11. Rhoads displayed signs of intoxication, and was taken to ECH for a blood test. [DB]
