10-09-2007 Simple Assault

Domestic Violence – On October 9, 2007 at approx. 2358 hours, James Thomas Brown, 26 years of age, Stevens Rd., Stevens, was arraigned before District Justice Miller on charges of Simple Assault, Domestic Violence related. Brown was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bail. (EC)

10-10-2007 Arrest

Kevin Charles Martin, 20 years of age, Ephrata, was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking in relation to an incident which occurred on September 25, 2007 in the 100 block of Muddy Creek Church Rd., Denver. Martin will be sent a summons to appear before MDJ Nancy Hamill at a later date.

Fred M. Gooslin, 33 years of age, Walnut St., Denver, was charged with Forgery and Theft by Deception relating to a series of checks that he issued at the Ephrata National Bank, 1 Main St., Denver, between September 4th through September 14th, totaling $755.00. The checks were reported to have been stolen from a residence of a Denver area woman. Gooslin is incarcerated in SCI Camp Hill on a state parole violation.

Brian Michael Knox, 26 years of age, no current address, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property after he was found to be in possession of property that was reported stolen from the 100 block of E. Walnut St., Ephrata on September 26, 2007. The property, which consisted of tools with an approximate value of $500.00, was recovered at Cash Converters in Shillington, PA. Knox is currently in Lancaster County Prison on unrelated charges.

James Lamar Earhart, III, 28 years of age, Hilldale Dr., Ephrata, was charged with Retail Theft in relation to an incident at Blockbuster Video, 2595 N. Reading Rd., Denver on October 2, 2007, in which he stole approximately $165.00 worth of video games. Earhart is currently in Lancaster County Prison on unrelated charges.

Mary E. Adamson, 28 years of age, Niss Ave., Ephrata, was charged with DUI, Possession of Marijuana and Careless Driving in relation to a vehicle crash that occurred on September 19, 2007 at 0257 hours. Adamstown lost control of her vehicle and crashed in a house at t hat location. Adamson will be sent a summons to appear before MDJ Nancy Hamill.

10-12-2007 Theft

Occurred October 12, 2007 on Col. Howard Blvd. A vehicle owned by GEM Contractors, Terre Hill, PA was broken into and various tools valued at approximately $2,400.00 were taken. (EC) Burglary: Occurred between October 11, 2007 and October 12, 2007 at the Reamstown Park, 11 E. Church St., Reamstown. Unknown actors pried open the snack bar and removed a hot dog grill and other items totaling $530.00. (EC)

10-13-2007 Underage Drinking

Occurred 10/13/07 at 1023 hours at Pepperidge Farm, 2195 N. Reading Rd., Denver. Alexander Polischouk, 19 years of age, Grants Place, Denver, arrived for work at Pepperidge Farm under the influence of alcohol and was charged with Underage Drinking. (EC)
