09-18-2007 DUI

Frank B. Ruoss, 54 years of age, Disston View Dr., Lititz, was stopped for speeding on September 18, 2007 at 0319 hours at S. Reamstown Rd. and Wabash Rd. Ruoss displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Ruoss was transported to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Ruoss had a BAC of .137%. Charges of DUI were filed against Ruoss. (EC)

09-19-2007 Crash

On September 19, 2007 at 0257 hours Mary E. Adamson, 28 years of age, Niss Ave., Ephrata, was traveling southbound in the 300 block of S. Reamstown Road. Adamson drove off the right side of the roadway, over steered and crossed over both lanes of traffic. Adamson then drove through the front yard of a residence at 372 S. Reamstown Rd. and then struck the residence in the area of a bedroom. The bedroom was occupied by a 10 year old male, who was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a complaint of head pain. The juvenile was released from the hospital. Adamson was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where blood was drawn due to suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Charges are pending the results of the blood test. (EC)

09-19-2007 Arrests

Russell Lee Brill, 25 years of age, W. Bukholder Dr., Lititz and his brother Justin David Brill, 18 years of age, S. 4th St., Denver, have been charged with Aggravated Assault and Criminal Conspiracy as a result of an incident that occurred on September 17, 2007 at approximately 8:30 PM in the 300 block of Railroad Street, Denver. The victim was hospitalized at Lancaster General Hospital for injuries that he had received during the attack. The Brill brothers were both arraigned before MDJ Nancy Hamill and bail was set at $70,000 for each. The Brill brothers were committed to Lancaster County Prison. (DB)

09-19-2007 Harassment

Lewis Daniel Space, Jr, 56 years of age, Stagecoach Lane, Lancaster, will be charged with Harassment in reference to ongoing harassment with victim in this incident. (EC)

09-20-2007 Theft from vehicle

Ryan Hartsough, W. Main St., New Holland, reported on 9/20/07 his work truck was parked along Col. Howard Blvd and the passenger side window was smashed out. Removed from the vehicle were tools valued at approximately $900.00. (EC)

09-21-2007 DUI Crash

Occurred 9/21/07 at 0128 hours in the 1000 block of N. Reading Road, Stevens. Timothy V. Kashner, 22 years of age, S. 4th St., Denver, attempted to turn around due to a road detour. Kashner lost control of his vehicle and drove up an embankment on the eastbound side of the roadway. The car became stuck and had to be towed off the embankment. Kashner displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Kashner was transported to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Kashner had a BAC of .135%. Charges of DUI were filed against Kashner. (EC)

09-21-2007 Simple Assault/Domestic Violence

Occurred 9/21/07 at 1652 hours at the Holiday Inn, 1 Denver Rd., Denver. Tracy Blessing, 48 years of age, E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, PA, was charged with Simple Assault, Domestic Violence related and Harassment after an incident at the Holiday Inn. Blessing was arraigned before MDJ Garrett and taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bail. (EC)

09-22-2007 DUI Crash

Occurred September 22, 2007 at 0238 hours in the first block of W. Church St., Denver. Todd William Tussinger, Sr., 46 years of age, Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA. Tussinger was traveling eastbound on W. Church St. and failed to negotiate a turn, lost control and struck a porch at 80 W. Church St. and then the residence at 78 W. Church St. No one in the residences was injured. Tussinger had an obvious odor of an intoxicating beverage emitting from his mouth. Tussinger was transported to Ephrata Community Hospital due to his injuries and for a blood alcohol test. Test results indicated Tussinger had a BAC of .245%. Charges of DUI and other charges are pending against Tussinger. (EC)

09-22-2007 DUI/Underage Drinking

Occurred September 22, 2007 at 0445 hours in the first block of Terrace Ave., Stevens. Jessica Grubb, 19 years of age, Terrace Ave., Stevens, is being charged with DUI and Underage Drinking. Officers were investigating a disturbance call at the above area when Grubb pulled up to the area in her vehicle. In speaking with Grubb she was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Grubb was transported to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood alcohol test. Test results indicated Grubb had a BAC of .093%. (EC)

09-21-2007 Criminal Mischief

Occurred between 9/21 and 9/22 in the 400 block of Wollups Hill Road, Stevens. Donald Walmer reported unknown actors threw a cantaloupe at his mailbox. Damage amount is approx. $30.00. (WC)

09-22-2007 Criminal Mischief

Occurred on 9/22/07 in the 100 block of Wollups Hill Rd., Denver. Janet Sweigart reported her mailbox was smashed by a cantaloupe. Approx. damage amount is $20.00. (WC)

09-23-2007 DUI

Occurred September 23, 2007 at 2345 hours in the first block of S. Reamstown Rd. Gregory Bernard Dieckhaus, 53 years of age, E. Walnut St., Ephrata, was stopped for erratic driving. Dieckhaus displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Dieckhaus was transported to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Dieckhaus had a BAC of .193%. Charges of DUI were filed against Dieckhaus. (EC)

09-23-2007 Criminal Mischief

Occurred on 9/23/07 at the Denver Park, 801 Main St., Denver. Unknown actors damaged a vehicle belonging to John Lopez, Denver while it was parked at the Denver Park. Unknown damage amount at this time. (DB)

09-24-2007 DUI

Occurred September 24, 2007 at 0228 hours in the 3100 block of N. Reading Rd., Adamstown. Gerardo Morale Figueroa, 28 years of age, W. Franklin St., Reading, PA, was stopped for erratic driving. Figueroa displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Figueroa was transported to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Figueroa had a BAC of .159%. Charges of DUI were filed against Figueroa . (AB)
