08-04-2007 Theft

A small yellow ATV valued at $600 was reported stolen from 101 Main Street, Denver, during the night of August 4/5. [DB]

08-05-2007 Disturbance

Charles Zimmerman, 45, 1 West Church Street, Reamstown, was charged with Ethnic Intimidation, Terroristic Threats, Recklessly Endangering, and related offenses after a disturbance at that location at 5:45PM August 5. He was arraigned before MDJ Miller and committed to LCP in lieu of $20,000 bail. [EC]

08-06-2007 Theft

A saddle, bridle, and halter, valued at $2,070, were stolen from a horse trailer during a show at the Friendly Horseman’s Club, 260 Kline Road, West Cocalico Twp. on August 6. [WC]

08-05-2007 Vandalism

Tires on several vehicles were slashed in the Schoeneck area between August 3 and August 5. [WC]

08-07-2007 Crash

Joseph Cammerota, 19, Stevens, was injured in a one-car crash in the 200 block of North Reamstown Road on August 7 at 11:15PM. Cammerota stated he swerved to avoid a deer, struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over on to its roof. Reamstown Fire Co., Ambulance, and Medic 4 responded. [EC]

08-08-2007 DUI Crash

Chad A. Eckroth, 27, Newmanstown, faces DUI charges as the result of a one-car crash in the 900 block of West Swartzville Road at 12:41AM August 8. Eckroth ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. He exhibited signs of intoxication, and a blood test at ECH indicated he had a BAC of .19%. He will be summoned to appear before MDJ Hamill on the charges. [EC]

08-10-2007 Bench Warrant

Police arrested Samantha Miller, 19, 523 Main Street, Denver, on a Lancaster County Bench Warrant at her residence at 9:37PM August 10. She turned over to Sherriff’s Deputies. [DB]

08-11-2007 Disorderly Conduct

Two Reinholds area juveniles, both 17, were cited for Disorderly Conduct and related traffic offenses on August 11, after a patrolling officer observed them driving without lights and throwing eggs from their car in the 300 block of Main Street, Denver, at 1:50AM. They were released to their parents. [DB]

08-11-2007 Domestic Assault

Scott Lee Swartz, 41, Hummelstown, was arrested and charged with Simple Assault after an incident at 2170 North Reading Road at 1:03AM August 11. He was arraigned before MDJ Hartman and committed to LCP in lieu of $10,000 bail. [EC]

08-12-2007 Hit & Run Crash

Harold C. Cutter, 36, Columbia, faces various charges after he was involved in a hit & run crash in the 300 block of Texter Mountain Road at 12:20PM August 12. Cutter allegedly forced a motorcycle operated by Justin Lee Martin, 18, Reinholds, off of the road and fled the scene. Martin was taken to Reading Hospital for treatment. [WC]
