Press Release Week ending 07-19-2008

07-14-2008 Theft

Occurred between 7/14/08 and 7/15/08 in the first block of N. King St., Denver. Unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and removed an mp3 player valued at $250.00. (WC)

07-15-2008 Theft

Occurred 7/15/08 in the first block of Ream Rd., at the Reamstown Pool. Unknown actors removed a cell phone from a locker. The cell phone was valued at $200.00. (EC)

07-16-2008 D.U.I. Crash

Occurred 7/16/08 at 0121 hours in the 300 block of Holtzman Rd., Reinholds. Garry Ford, 53 years of age, Church Ave, Ephrata, traveled off the roadway and struck several rocks. He eventually became stuck on the soft shoulder. Ford was found to be highly intoxicated and was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood alcohol test. Test results indicated Ford had a BAC over the legal limit. Charges will be filed at a later date. (EC)

07-16-2008 Disorder;y Conduct

Occurred 7/16/08 in the 400 block of E. Church St., Stevens. Anthony S. Garman, 18 years of age, Kramer Mill Rd., Denver, was charged with Disorderly Conduct after an incident at the above location. (EC)

07-18-2008 Theft

Occurred 7/18/08 in the 100 block of W. Queen St., Stevens. Unknown actors removed a concrete saw valued at $2,500.00 from a barn. (WC)

07-19-2008 Theft

Occurred 7/19/08 in the 300 block of Park St., Stevens. Unknown actors removed five patio chairs from the rear of a residence. The chairs are valued at $75.00. (EC)

07-20-2008 D.U.I.

Occurred 7/20/08 at 0251 hours in the 700 block of N. Reading Rd., Ephrata. Low Chong Lu, 56 years of age, Flushing, NY, was stopped for erratic driving and found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Lu failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results revealed Lu had a BAC over the legal limit. Charges will be filed at a later time. (EC)
