07-09-2007 Theft

Occurred between 7/9 and 7/10 at 3rd St and Walnut St., Denver. Derek Ecenrode, Manheim, PA, reported his vehicle was broken into and approximately $300.00 in stereo equipment was removed from his vehicle. (DB)

07-10-2007 Arrest

Joan M. Crawford, 33 years of age of Honeybrook, PA was charged with Identity Theft in relation to an incident where she used personal information belonging to another to open up two credit card accounts over the internet. Crawford used both credit cards multiple times between may 11, 2006 and June 16, 2007 for purchases and cash advances totaling $2,693.25 at various locations throughout several counties. Crawford was arraigned before MDJ Hamill on July 10, 2007 and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail. (EC)

05-27-2007 Arrest

Arrest: Harold D. Wilcox, 49 year of age of Carlisle, PA, was charged with Theft by Deception in relation to three separate investigations occurring at various antique stores located on Rt. 272 in East Cocalico Township and Adamstown Borough between May 27, 2007 and June 3, 2007. Wilcox wrote several checks on closed accounts purchasing approximately $7,000.00 of antique items. Warrants were obtained for Wilcox’s arrest. Wilcox was apprehended in New York on unrelated charges and is currently being detained in Herkimer County Jail, New York. Wilcox is wanted on additional charges in several counties throughout PA and will be extradited to PA at a later date. (EC/AB)

07-12-2007 D.U.I.

DUI: Occurred 7/12/07 at 2001 hours at 2501 N. Reading Rd., Denver, Turkey Hill Store. Officers were called to the above location for an intoxicated female who drove into the parking lot and was stumbling in the store. Officers arrived and observed Mary Thomas, 67 years of age, Reading Rd., Bowmansville, PA, in the driver’s seat of her vehicle. Mary displayed signs of intoxication. Thomas was unable to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending the results of the blood test. (EC)

07-15-2007 D.U.I.

Occurred 7/15/07 at 0044 hours in at Denver Rd and N. Reading Rd., Denver. Blaine Beebe, 42 years of age, Reading, PA, was stopped for traveling at a high rate of speed and driving erratically. Beebe displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Beebe was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Beebe had a BAC of .177%. Charges pending against Beebe. (EC)

07-13-2007 Burglary

Burglary: Occurred between 7/13 and 7/15 at 90 Cocalico Creek Rd., Stevens. Joshua Weinhold reported a room he rents at the above address was entered and various gaming items valued at approx. $280.00 was removed. (EC) DUI: Occurred 7/15/07 at 2043 hours in the 800 block of S. Ridge Rd., Denver. Larry J. Byers, 46 years of age, Temple Ave., Lancaster, PA, was stopped for erratic driving. Byers displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Byers was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Byers had a BAC of .18%. Charges pending against Byers. (EC)

07-16-2007 Public Drunkenness

Occurred 7/16/07 at 1824 hours at Turkey Hill, 300 Main St, Denver, PA. David M. Ecenrode, 45 years of age, Marie Ave., Ephrata was charged with Public Drunkenness after causing a disturbance at the above location. (DB)
