07-02-2007 Crash
Andrew Jones, 18, Sinking Spring, was taken to the Reading Hospital for treatment after a one-car crash in the 300 block of South Cocalico Road at 1:14PM July 2. Jones was traveling north on South Cocalico Road when he lost control while rounding a curve, and rolled the vehicle. [WC]
07-03-2007 Drug Violation
Dextin Orme, 18, Denver, faces drug and fireworks violation charges after an incident in the first block of South 4th Street, Denver, at 9:55PM July 3. Orme was observed setting off illegal fireworks, and was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. [DB]
07-06-2007 Public Drunkenness
Raymond Winters, 66, Adamstown, was cited for Public Drunkenness at 4:40PM July 6, after he fell into a flower bed in the first block of Willow Street in the Borough while in an intoxicated condition. He was cited and taken home. [AB]
07-07-2007 Underage Drinking
A 17-year old Smokestown resident was cited for underage drinking at 1:37AM July 7, after she was found to the rear of the Ephrata National Bank, Main Street, Denver. She was cited and taken to her residence. [DB]
07-08-2007 Park Vandalism
On July 8, three Reamstown area youths were charged in two separate vandalism incidents that had been reported at the Reamstown Park in March. They will be referred to the Youth Aid Panel. [EC]
05-31-2007 Theft Arrest
Theft Arrest – Mark Edward Hadden, 18, Reinholds, and a 16 year old Stevens area juvenile were charged with Theft and Criminal Conspiracy after they allegedly stole a vehicle from the 400 block of Smokestown Road on May 31. Hadden was picked up on a warrant on July 8 in the first block of North Reamstown Rd., arraigned before MDJ Willwerth, and committed to LCP in lieu of $50,000 bail. The juvenile was released to his parents [EC]
