05-28-2008 Criminal Trespass

Occurred 5/28/08 at 1444 hours at Cocalico High School, 800 S. 4th St., Denver. A 16 year old male from Stevens was charged with Criminal Trespass after he was observed on the school property. The juvenile had been served with a trespass letter at an earlier date to stay off of school property. (DB)

05-28-2008 Harassment

Occurred 5/28/08 at 1550 hours in the first block of E. Main St., Adamstown. Colleen Conant, 39 years of age, E. Main St., Adamstown, was charged with two counts of summary Harassment after a verbal domestic turned physical and she struck two individuals. (AB)

05-25-2008 Theft from Vehicle

Occurred between 5/25/08 and 5/28/08 in the 300 block of Willow St., Adamstown. Unknown actors removed a wallet worth $20 and a portable game system valued at $180.00 from a vehicle parked in the above location. (AB)

05-23-2008 Criminal Mischief

Occurred between 5/23/08 and 5/27/08 at the Lezzer Lumber, 150 Lincoln Ave., Reinholds. Unknown actors spray pained graffiti on a building owned by Lezzer Lumber. Damage amount is approx. $100.00. (WC)

05-16-2008 Theft

Occurred between 5/16/08 and 5/30/08 in the first block of S. Line Rd., Stevens. Unknown actors removed a Sears walk behind weed whacker valued at $400.00 from a building on S. Line Rd. (EC)

05-31-2008 Robbery

Occurred 5/31/08 at 0319 hours at the Turkey Hill at 2501 N. Reading Rd., Denver. A black male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded the clerk open the cash register. The male then grabbed the cash drawer and exited the store with an undetermined amount of cash. (EC)

05-27-2008 Retail Theft

Occurred 5/27/08 at the Turkey Hill at 2501 N. Reading Rd., Denver. An unknown actor pumped $30.11 worth of gas and left without paying for the gas. (EC)

05-31-2008 D.U.I.

Occurred 5/31/08 at 0519 hours at Snyder St and Main St., Denver. Rebecca Nagle, 39 years of age, Monroe St., Denver, was stopped by officers at the above location due to an incident she was involved in. Nagle was found to be intoxicated. Nagle failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Nagle’s BAC was over the legal limit. Charges of DUI will be filed against Nagle at a later date. (DB)

05-24-2008 Criminal Mischief

Occurred 5/24/08 in the first block of Mechanic St., Reinholds. Unknown actors spray painted graffiti on a shed. Unknown damage amount at this time. (WC)

05-30-2008 Theft

Occurred between 5/30/08 and 5/31/08 in the 100 block of Redstone Circle, Reinholds. Unknown actors siphoned approx. 6 gallons of gas valued at $24.00 from a vehicle parked in the above area. (WC)

05-29-2008 Theft

Occurred between 5/29/08 and 5/30/08 in the first block of Mechanic St., Reinholds. Unknown actors removed a 1978 Benelli moped, blue in color, valued at $125.00 from a porch on Mechanic Street. (WC)

05-31-2008 Crash

Occurred on 5/31/08 at 2009 hours on Rt. 222 northbound. Dennis Reddig, S. Broad St, Lititz, was traveling northbound on Rt. 222 when a deer ran in front of his vehicle. On impact, the deer went through the front windshield. A passenger in the vehicle was injured and transported to Reading Hospital for treatment. (EC)

05-31-2008 Crash

Occurred on 5/31/08 at 1853 hours in the 200 block of Sportsman Rd., Denver. Edna Ditzler, 74 years of age N. Blainsport Rd., Reinholds, was traveling on Sportsman Rd. and struck a tree. The driver was transported to Reading Hospital for treatment of injuries. (WC)

06-01-2008 Harassment

Occurred 6/1/08 at 0047 hours in the first block of S. King St., Stevens. A 16 year old male juvenile from Stevens was charged with summary Harassment after punching another individual in the side. (WC)

06-01-2008 D.U.I.

Occurred 6/1/08 at 0029 hours in the first block of Cocalico Creek Rd., Denver. Keith M. Firestone, 36 years of age, E. Main St., Ephrata, crashed into a fence while traveling on Cocalico Creek Rd. Firestone had an obvious odor of an alcoholic beverage about his person. Firestone failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Firestone had a BAC over the legal limit. Charges of DUI will be filed against Firestone at a later date. (EC)

06-02-2008 D.U.I. Crash

Occurred 6/2/08 at 0216 hours in the 600 block of Reinholds Rd., Denver. Logan R. Reed, 20 years of age, E. Main St., Reinholds, was traveling north on Reinholds Rd. and lost control around a left curve in the road. Reed struck a tree and pole, causing heavy damage to the vehicle. Reed was found to be intoxicated. Reed was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. A blood test was performed on Reed. Test results indicated Reed’s BAC was over the legal limit. Charges of DUI and Underage Drinking will be filed against Reed at a later date. (EC)

05-31-2008 Criminal Mischief

Occurred between 5/31/08 and 6/1/08 at the Chapel Gate Park located in the first block of Chapel View Dr., Reinholds. Unknown actors used chalk and paint to write graffiti throughout the pavilion and on picnic tables. The approximate damage amount to the park is $500.00. (WC)

06-03-2008 Robbery

Occurred on 6/3/08 at 0405 hours at the Turkey Hill at 300 Main St., Denver. A black male entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk. The actor then fled on foot with the cash drawer and an undetermined amount of cash. (DB)
