03-18-2008 Burglary

Occurred on 3/18/08 at JJ Stoner Mechanical Inc, N. Reading Rd., Denver. Unknown actors forcefully entered a fenced area at the business and removed copper wire welding leads valued at $3,600.00. (EC)

03-19-2008 Trespass by Motor Vehicle

Occurred 3/19/08 at 1629 hours on Monroe St. and N. 3rd St., Denver. Officers received a complaint of a vehicle driving in the park at the above location. Officers located a vehicle driven by Carlos M. Carrillo, Harrisson, NY, on a walking path. Carrillo to be cited with Trespass by Motor Vehicle. (DB)

03-20-2008 D.U.I.

Occurred 3/20/08 at 2258 hours in the 2500 block of N. Reading Rd., Denver. Larry Jack Abshire, Louisville, KY was observed driving erratically and stopped. Abshire displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety tests. Abshire was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Abshire had a BAC above the legal limit. Abshire was taken to MDJ Garrett’s for arraignment on charges of Driving Under the Influence. MDJ Garrett set bail at $5,000 and Abshire was taken to Lancaster County Prison. (EC)

03-21-2008 Theft

Occurred on 3/21/08 in the 100 block of E. Church St., Stevens. Jessica Walton, Ephrata, reported a vehicle she was a passenger in became disabled in the 100 block of E. Church St. Walton and the driver left the vehicle and returned later to find Walton’s purse was removed from the vehicle. The purse was valued at $6.00. (EC)

03-22-2008 Attempted Burglary

Occurred 3/22/08 at 0211 hours at Boehringer’s Drive-Inn, 3160 N. Reading Rd., Adamstown. Officers received an alarm call for Boehringer’s. On arrival a window and screen were found to be broken. Entry was not made into the business. (AB)

03-22-2008 Underage Drinking

Occurred 3/22/08 at 0208 hours in the first block of School Lane, Stevens. Officers received a call regarding a loud party in the first block of School Lane. On arrival in the area two individuals were seen attempting to leave the area. Amy Brunner, 18 years of age, East Petersburg, PA and a 17 hear old female from Willow Street, PA were both cited with Underage Drinking. (EC)

03-22-2008 Theft from Vehicle

Between the hours of midnight and 0830 on 3/22/08, eight unlocked vehicles were entered in the areas of Swamp Bridge Road and King Street, West Cocalico Township. Cash and change was taken from the vehicles. (WC)

03-23-2008 D.U.I. / Underage Drinking

Occurred 3/23/08 at 0002 hours in the 1100 block of Indiantown Road, Stevens. A vehicle driven by Jeremiah Wilson, 20 years of age, Oberholtzer Ln, Denver, was stopped for speeding and erratic driving. Wilson displayed signs of intoxication and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Wilson was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood alcohol test. Test results indicated Wilson had a BAC over the legal limit. Charges of DUI and Underage Drinking will be filed against Wilson. A 17 year old male passenger in Wilson’s vehicle will also be cited for Underage Drinking. (WC)

03-20-2008 Theft

Occurred between 3/20/08 and 3/24/08 at S. Muddy Creek Rd. & Lesher Rd., Denver. Everhart & Hoover, Hustontown, PA have a work trailer parked in the above area. A lock was cut on the trailer and copper wire, a generator and concrete saw were removed. Total value of property is $2,355.00. (EC)

03-21-2008 Theft

Occurred between 3/21/08 and 3/24/08 in the 200 block of Royal Horse Way, Denver. Lanco Mechanical, Yummerdal Rd., Lititz, PA reported a house under construction had approx. 250 feet of copper wire removed. Total value of the wire is $120.00. (EC)

03-24-2008 Public Drunkenness

Occurred 3/24/08 at 1541 hours in the first block of E. Main St., Adamstown. Coleen Conant, 39 years of age, E. Main St., Adamstown, was observed stumbling and nearly falling while walking in the above location. Conant was found to be intoxicated and was cited with Public Drunkenness. (AB)
