01-07-2008 Recovered Stolen Vehicle
On 2/6/08 the 1992 International fuel truck that was reported stolen from Leffler Energy in Denver, PA on 1/7/08 was recovered. The truck was recovered in Marple Township, Delaware County, PA. The truck was missing the fuel tank and transmission. Investigation is continuing.
01-08-2008 Arrest
Anthony J. Scheuerman, 36 years of age, Greenland Dr., Lancaster, was charged with Criminal Solicitation and related Theft charges as a result of an incident that occurred between December 2006 and April 2007 while he was employed as a sales manager at Nu-Car Credit, 2024 N. Reading Rd., Denver. The dealership lot approximately $25,000 as a result of Scheuerman’s actions. Scheuerman was arraigned before MDJ Hamill, and committed to Lancaster County Prison on $20,000 bail. (EC)
02-06-2008 Criminal Mischief
Occurred 2/6/08 in the 100 block of Main St., Adamstown. Unknown actors shot out a window of the victim’s pickup truck. Unknown damage amount. (AB)
02-07-2008 Criminal Mischief
Occurred between 2/7/08 and 2/8/08 in the first block of Sunrise Circle, Denver. Unknown actors smashed the two windows on a vehicle. Unknown damage amount at this time. (DB)
02-06-2008 Fuel Truck Recovered
On 2/6/08 the 1992 International fuel truck that was reported stolen from Leffler Energy in Denver, PA on 1/7/08 was recovered. The truck was recovered in Marple Township, Delaware County, PA. The truck was missing the fuel tank and transmission. Investigation is continuing.
02-08-2008 Public Drunkenness/Disorderly Conduct
Occurred 2/8/08 at 1145 hours at Cocalico High School, S. 4th St., Denver. A 17 year old male from Denver and a 17 year old male from Stevens were charged with Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct after an incident at the high school. (DB)
02-08-2008 Underage Drinking
Occurred 2/8/08 at 2139 hours in the 800 block of Smokestown Rd., Denver. Officers received a report of a suspicious individual walking in the above area. Dextin Orme, 18 years of age, Winding Way, Denver, was observed walking in this area and was found to be intoxicated. Orme was cited with Underage Drinking. (EC)
02-09-2008 DUI Crash
Occurred 2/9/08 at 2330 hours in the 2100 block of N. Reading Rd., Denver. Lewis H. Reaser, Jr., 57 years of age, S. Church St., Mohnton, was observed traveling northbound on N. Reading Rd. and then struck a traffic sign. Reaser then passed an officer and attempted to flee the crash site. He was stopped approx. 8/10 of a mile from the crash site. Reaser showed signs of intoxication and failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Reaser was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Reaser had a BAC over the legal limit. Charges of DUI are pending against Reaser. (EC)
02-10-2008 DUI Crash
Occurred 2/10/08 at 0246 hours in the 100 block of W. Main St., Reinholds. Kyle Hainley, 18 years of age, Chapel View Dr., Reinholds, was traveling west on Rt. 897 and lost control, traveled off the roadway and struck a shrub and fence. The driver fled the scene, but was located a short time later and displayed signs of intoxication. Hainley failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Hainley was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Hainley had a BAC over the legal limit. Charges of DUI are pending against Hainley. (WC)
