01-9-2008 Disorderly Conduct

Occurred 1/9/08 at 1635 hours at Weaver Markets, 2610 N. Reading Rd., Denver. A 14 year old female from Denver was charged with Disorderly Conduct after spitting on an individual at the store. (EC)

12-31-2007 Vehicle Theft

Occurred between 12/31/07 and 1/10/08 on Col. Howard Blvd. A vehicle owned by Antonia Civil, Sinking Spring, PA, broke down on 12/31/07 and was left on Col. Howard Blvd. Civil returned to the area on 1/10/08 to retrieve the vehicle and it was missing. The vehicle is a 1996 Ford Windstar, white in color with PA registration GWC8381. (EC)

01-06-2008 Assault

Assault charges will be filed against a 13 year old male from Denver. The male shot a BB gun at another juvenile, striking him in the leg. The incident occurred in the first block of Grouse Dr., Denver. (EC)

01-11-2008 Terrorist Threats/DUI

Occurred 1/11/08 at approx. 1700 hours in the 300 block of Main St., Denver. William Lee Jacoby, 34 years of age, N. Reamstown Rd, Reamstown was charged with Terrorist Threats, DUI, Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct. Jacoby sent threatening messages to another individual and showed up at their place of employment. Jacoby then drove to the 300 block of Main St., Denver to try to make contact with the individual. Officers located Jacoby in this area and he was taken into custody. (DB)

01-12-2008 DUI

Occurred 1/12/08 at 0201 hours in the 1600 block of N. Reading Rd., Denver. Barry Lee Eberly, 58 years of age, Kurtz Rd., Denver, was stopped for erratic driver. Eberly displayed poor coordination and was placed under arrest. Eberly was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results showed Eberly was over the legal limit. Charges of DUI were filed against Eberly. (EC)

01-12-2008 DUI/Underage Drinking

Occurred 1/12/08 at 0132 hours in the 1200 block of N. Reading Rd., Stevens. Drew Donovan, 21 years of age, Valley View Dr., New Holland was driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed and was stopped. He was found to be under the influence of intoxicating beverages. Donovan failed Standardized Field Sobriety tests and was taken to Ephrata Community Hospital for a blood test. Test results indicated Donovan was over the legal limit. Charges of DUI will be filed against Donovan. A passenger in Donovan’s vehicle, Justin Hohenwarter, 18 years of age, Hill Road, New Holland, was found to be under the influence and will be charged with Underage Drinking. (EC)

01-13-2008 Crash/Pedestrian Struck

Occurred 1/13/08 at 1752 hours on N. Reading Rd and Riverview Dr., Adamstown. Wendy Jones, Ephrata was traveling north on N. Reading Rd. in the area of Riverview Dr., Adamstown. Four male juveniles were riding skateboard in the middle of the road, blocking both lanes of travel on N. Reading Rd. passing the area of Riverview Dr. Jones failed to see the juveniles due to the rain and dark conditions and the fact the juveniles were wearing dark colored clothing. One male was struck and received a minor head laceration. The juvenile was taken to Reading Hospital. (AB)
