2000 REPORT
With the 1999-2000 school year in full swing, the Department has participated in various
school and scout presentions.
- On October 4th, Officer Depaul presented bike safety tips to approximately ten student
bike riders at the Reamstown Elementary School.
- On October 13th, Cpl. Arment gave a station tour to approximately six boys ages 8 and 9.
The boys were with the Reinholds and Schoeneck Cub Scouts.
- On October 21st, Cpl Arment spoke with approximately eight Denver Elementary students,
ages 9 to 12, about what we do as Police Officers.
- On October 26th, Cpl Arment presented a bike and Halloween safety talk to a second
grade class at Schoeneck Elementary. Cpl Arment presented the class with Halloween bags,
bike safety coloring books and helmet safety book marks.
- On October 29th, a police cruiser once again was asked to lead the annual Quail Hollow
Halloween parade. Halloween bags were distributed to an estimated sixty children.<
LI>Various literture, book marks, stickers as well as department trading cards were given
to the children at all the presentations.
